To strengthen the overall planning and integrated management of the programmes of the Sino-German Center (SGC) with that of its parent institutions, i.e., the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the German Research Foundation (DFG), the SGC funding portfolio (except for the Lindau Programme) has been discontinued as of January 1, 2024.

The administration of already granted SGC projects (such as projects from the Mobility Calls 2019-2021) remains with the SGC.

A new funding scheme which will be administered and funded directly by the NSFC and DFG is currently being developed. It will contain a funding line for three-year mobility projects (“Mobility”) and a funding line for individual workshops and symposia (“Forum”).

The relevant Calls for Proposals will be published on the official websites of NSFC and DFG, as well as the SGC website.
